 The Question is what what do you do? Faced with horrible acts of violence, oppression, murder, and other tragedies, this film  goes behind the scenes in some recent and current atrocities and tries to understand the mind of forgiveness.  I witnessed, at the Maui Filmmakers panel, as Vince DiPersio talks about the life changing experience and his own spiritual awakening in the making of the film.  When he talked about things like revenge, and for him growing up on the East Coast his idea might have been more of twisting a knife into someone, extracting revenge and as you pull the knife out and your victim is gasping for a last breath, you utter " your forgiven".

 Instead we have interviews with Quakers in Lancaster Co PA at the infamous Wolf Rock School and learn how the first thing the victim families do is go and give aid and comfort to the shooters family consoling them in their own loss of  Charles Carl Roberts !

We listen have interviews with With interviews from spiritual leaders including: Dr. Deepak Chopra, Archbishop Desmund Tutu and His Holiness Sri Ravi Shankar. 

Leave it to say I came away different and more compassionate but am still a advocate of capital punishment but not as rabid.  I think there is hate and anger in me that is not of a forgiving nature.  I have pondered this more than once, what if someone killed my son or grand daughter.  Would I sit idle while people plead that persons humanity or would I take vengeance and consider my life forfeit as if the murderer killed us both!  I would like to think I am a man of law and justice but pray I never have to be tested.
