The Ghost Writer
The Ghost Writer is excellent. An unknown writer of minor repute is hired to ghost write the memoirs of the British Prime Minister who was is office during the Iraq War. The previous ghost writer appeared off the ferry between the main land and the island off the US East Coast where the former prime minister is staying with his wife and staff. Within a day of the new writer taking the job and showing up on the island, the former prime is accused of war crimes by his former finance minister. He gave four British Muslims to the CIA for extraordinary rendition. When protesters and the press besiege the hotel where the writer is staying and the prime minister's compound, he moves into the house with the prime minister, his wife, PA and staff....into the room occupied by the previous writer. He finds hidden material and photographs that seem to conflict with the story the prime minister has told him about his early days at Cambridge. He begins to investigate further and is life now is threatened. Excellent acting and a surprise ending. Don't miss it
