Fast & Furious

Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster  are all back in what may be the last of this franchise.  Then again now that it has reaped in over 300 million so far world wide, who knows.  The plot revolves around Dominic Toretto ( Diesel) who is forced outside the US in Movie Number one but aided and abetted by agent Brian O'Conner ( Walker).  Torreto's Girl friend, Letty ( Rodriguez) gets mixed up with the wrong people running drugs into the Us from Mexico and assassinated.  Torreto's out fro revenge but Walker is recruited to again to find Torrento and capture him, stop the drug smugglers.   The chase is on, the old feud's come back and so will the alliance. 

So why do we watch this B movie stuff?  Entertainment, period.  Who doesn't dream of flying down the road in a 600 HP car with so much torque it can twist a steel frame?  The time goes by quickly, the effects are predictable but done well and there is a chemistry and closeness in the players.  I was so sorry that Michelle Rodriguez's character has to die so early.  I missed her rants and special feminine strength.  Not very original and certainly not ground breaking, but rather a well made formulaic movie to a targeted audience with a certain result.  Good business!
