Cautiva
Cautiva is a film from Argentina that you can rent from Netflix. It is a historical fiction story about a teenage girl who is taken from her school and told by a federal judge that her "parents" aren't her parents and that her true parents were "disappeared" by the brutal Argentinian dictatorship put in place by Kissinger and the CIA in the late 1970's. She is placed with her maternal grandmother. The girl initially rebels and refuses to believe that her parents are not her birth parents and that the stories they've told her about her birth are all lies. She is cold and mean to her grandmother. Eventually the evidence provided by the judge and one of the girl's high school friends whose parents also disappeared, and the jail midwife who delivered her bring her around. A great and moving story, well acted.
