Gran Torino opens today

It is opening day for Gran Torino.  I leave shortly for this much anticipated Resurrection of an older Harry Callaghan type character. I thought I would pen a few thoughts on what I expect the character, Walt Kowalski, to be.  I expect him to be a crusty old man, set in his ways, with a few skeletons in the closet, but morally solid without being religious.  I expect he'll face some relationship challenges but we're goingto love him for who he is and in the end we'll be wanting more but satisfied that story ends well for the people that he protects, but thinking about it I wonder how it ends for Walt ?

It is no secret I'm a Clint Eastwood fan, and for all the doubters, the people that thought his movies of the spaghetti Western days were just so much trash, they have endured and still viewed and shown on TV today as well as many of his other earlier movies.

It seems at least for Mr. Eastwood that the older he gets the better he gets. I'll review it later tonight.
